Due to increasing financial woes, ProElite/EliteXC has offcially gone under. Also called into question was the no shoot bonus supposedly offered to Seth Petruzelli prior to his fight with Kimbo Slice. Personally, I blame Ken Shamrock.
Let’s hope the WEC adds a women’s division. Gina Carano needs a home!
Elite XC heavyweight champ Antonio Silva tested postive for Boldenone, an anolobolic steroid, following the his win over Justin Eilers July 26th. The California State Athletic Commission has issued a one year ban and fined him $2,500. Elite XC has yet to strip him of his title until more information is made available.
