ProElite/EliteXC Is No More…

Due to increasing financial woes, ProElite/EliteXC has offcially gone under.  Also called into question was the no shoot bonus supposedly offered to Seth Petruzelli prior to his fight with Kimbo Slice.  Personally, I blame Ken Shamrock.

Let’s hope the WEC adds a women’s division.  Gina Carano needs a home!

Sanchez Pulls Out of UFC 90: Koscheck Steps Up!

Diego Sanchez has withdrawn from UFC 90 , where he was to face Thiago Alves, due to torn rib cartilage.  Josh Koscheck has stepped up on short notice to fill the vacancy.  This could be a great fight…I hope Josh has been staying fit, this could launch him right into the top contender spot.

Antonio Silva’s License Revoked!

The California State Athletic commision has has revoked Antonio Silva’s, Strikeforce’s Heavyweight Champion,  license for again testing positive for anabolic agents.  Silva tested positive for Boldenone following his victory over Justin Eilers, earning him the vacant Heavyweight title.

An appeal is set to take place Oct. 22.

Jesse Taylor beats Drew Fickett – Total Combat 32

Ulitmate Fighter exile, Jesse Taylor (7-3), beat UFC veteran Drew Fickett (35-7) at Total Combat 32 in El Cajon, California.  Taylor manage a 1st round TKO stoppage after gettign the early take down and opening a wicked cut on Fickett’s forehead.
